ThermoReal® is a temperature feedback haptic device that allows users to feel hot, cold temperatures and pain along with their game content. With ThermoReal® users can become their own game characters or experience the actual content of their game scenes. If a character in the game used fire as an attack skill, the user can also feel the hotness of the fire attack. Likewise, if ice beams were the skill, the game user can also feel the coldness of the ice attack. Users can sense the various temperatures along with their characters and game surroundings.

Not only can players experience temperature feedback, they can also feel pain. With our ThermoReal®, we have manipulated various temperatures to trick the brain into thinking they are in pain, when in actuality, the pain is just a mixture of temperatures (Thermal Grill Illusion). Likewise, with ThermoReal®, the pain feature can add to the full user immersion experience. With ThermoReal®, users can feel the actual attack or pain scenes of their content. Overall, ThermoReal® is a temperature haptic device that can stimulate the ultimate sensation experience in all areas of VR, AR, game, 4D movie, or stimulators.
